This vintage piece was designed in the 1950s based off of old viking jewelry found in the old municipality of Maaria (now northern Turku). The bird was a common motif in jewelry of viking times as for the ancient Finns, as birds were symbols of luck and success. The Kalevala Bronze Lintunen Bracelet is an example of Nordic design merged with ancient Finnish culture. Crafted in a warm bronze the band measures about 66x50mm. In excellent condition with only minor signs of tarnish on the pendent and the band.
