Vintage "Kaarna" Arabia Stoneware Teapot

This iconic Kaarna teapot was designed by Göran Bäck (with some attributing it to Ulla PROCOPÉ) and was in production from 1961-1971. Made from hard faience, the teapot comes with a deep brown glaze on a ribbed surface and was in production from 1961-1971. The Kaarna tableware can easily be combined with the warm-toned Mahonki dishes.

Arabia’s Kaarna (Bark) and Mahonki (Mahogany) tableware are very much alike, it’s the glaze that completely transforms the appearance of the pieces – Kaarna has a matte glaze and ribbed texture, Mahonki has a glossy brown glaze.

This particular teapot was made in 1970 and is in excellent condition with no marks of wear.
