The Tarmon Tulkku was created exclusively for Finnport in 1995 and produced in a strictly limited edition of only 300 pieces, making it a rare and sought-after example from the celebrated Birds by Toikka collection.
This special design originated during a visit by renowned Finnish designer Oiva Toikka to Finnport’s founder, Tarmo Pihlaja. The bird features a striking red breast, complemented by subtle brown and light blue tones along the back, and finished with a sleek black head, creating a bold yet balanced colour palette.
Each bird was mouth-blown at the Nuutajärvi Glass Factory in Finland, where Oiva Toikka worked closely with master glassblowers to bring his artistic vision to life. Because every bird is handmade, each piece displays slight variations that make it uniquely individual.
These birds are offered as part of the Finnport Archive Collection, representing pieces connected to Finnport’s long history with Finnish design and craftsmanship.
Only 300 were produced, and each bird is individually numbered on the base.
