Mansikkavuoret Tin Box

The Marimekko Mansikkavuoret tin box is adorned with Maija Isola’s summery sweet pattern. The tin box is a multipurpose storage tin for pasta, tea and other kitchen products. The canister opens with a hinged lid and can also be used for storing small items for example at the office.

Designed in 1969 by Maija Isola, the Mansikkavuoret pattern was inspired by the pop art movement of the era. The light-hearted, almost dream-like pattern features a line of strawberries that seem to form a mountain range against a pink sky with clouds drifting across it – the name Mansikkavuoret translates to “strawberry mountains”.
