Nuutajärvi Glassworks' clear cup and saucer are part of the Kastehelmi glass series designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964. The Kastehelmi cup with handle is suitable for enjoying coffee, espresso, or mulled cider…the choice is yours.
The beautiful glass droplets of the Kastehelmi series have both an aesthetic and a technical function: Oiva Toikka developed a pattern that would conceal the joint marks in pressed glass and the result was Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop. Kastehelmi was manufactured until 1988 and it was one of Oiva Toikka's most beloved glass series.
