This particular ceramic moomin mug was a limited release for Tove Janssen's birthday on August 9th 2021. When it was released it sold out within 24 hours.
It depicts the day Snufkin returns at sunset on the first day of spring as snow has just started to melt and the river breaks free of ice. In the distance, sitting on the bridge over the dark river, can be seen Moominpappa and Moominmamma waiting for Snufkin's return. The illustration was originally made for the novel Moominland Midwinter and was subsequently used for songbook Visor från Mumindalen.
Sold in a special edition cardboard box using the same illustration as the mug. We carry ours in the same cardboard box in mint condition with the original sticker.
