Aino Blanket
Aino Blanket
Aoi Yoshizaea creates graphic and expressive surface designs for different textile materials. Her works explore shapes, textures and colours in her daily surroundings. In Helsinki, she gets inspired through her everyday experiences in both woods and the city as well as the stories told by people. Aoi also appreciates textile traditions and reinterprets them for modern home interiors, as the AINO blanket was inspired by the pattern and textures of the Finnish traditional Ryijy rugs.
This product is made out of high quality, fine South American wool. Wool is mulesing free and we work only with certified spinning mills. All yarns are spun as well as dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and fulfil the ÖKO-TEX certificate requirements.
Lapuan Kankuri’s strategy is to be responsible for the whole production from yarn to readymade products. The main part of their whole production is made in their own weaving mill in Lapua.
Product development, material purchases, programming of looms and design as well as warping, weaving, finishing and fabric inspection is all done in Lapua in their own weaving mill. Sewing is mainly done in their subsidiary sewing company in Lithuania or their own weaving mill in Lapua. Accessories come from Europe, mainly from Finland. Country of origin is Finland.
